The Details:

The 73rd National Folk Festival will take place this weekend, September 2-4, 2011, at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. As one of the most well-known celebrations of the arts, the National Folk Festival, will be in Nashville for a three-year tenure (2011, 2012, 2013). The National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA) chose Nashville as the host city due to the city’s tight knit community and unique culture.

The outdoor festival is free to the public and will be filled with three days of celebrating American culture and roots. With music, dancing, arts and crafts, ethnic food, parades, and much more the National Folk Festival is sure to please people of all ages.
